Overview
This is most people’s introduction to the world of Porsche. You won’t be surprised to learn that Porsche tried hard to make ownership an addictive proposition. It’s not the fastest modern classic you can buy for your money, but it sets levels of expectation in build quality and engineering that make it difficult to be satisfied with anything else.
Most aspects of its dynamics are so well resolved that our complaint would be that good drivers need not apply – the Boxster can look good with anyone behind the wheel.
The other problem is jealousy – no other car in this price bracket will earn you such resentment from other drivers.
