The mark 2 version of the Boxster 987 is much better than the older model. I bought a 2009 2.9 manual 6 speed which is great to drive and more economical, also with the lower tax band. Its best to shop around and make sure it has a full service and maintenance history for peace of mind. Beware of models with only partial history as maintaining it can be expensive so make sure there are no hidden problems waiting for you. I've had the car just over a year now. It went through its annual Mot with no problems. Over the year I've had to replace my front brake discs and pads and suspension parts that were due replacement through wear and tear but nothing out of the ordinary so far. Overall I would recommend the Porsche Boxster 2.9 as its fun to drive and provides a great driving experience.
