What does this car say about you?

In SA it's often an imaghe thing, but who cares? i've had Porsche non-stop since 1982 and am over any image thing. i drive it because i love it.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Family love it. don't care what neighbours think about it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Without any doubt.

New Boxster S with PDK.

No good deals available. had to pay list price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Been driving Porsche since 1982. Had a 924 turbo and a 911 Carrera targa.

What was the dealer like?

Dealership was helpful. i had to fly 650kms to dealership. they fetched me from the airport and laid on the test drives i required. afterwards they took me back to the airport. very modern showroom, and i was treated very well.

What's it like to drive?

After my Carrera its feel very secure, but perhaps a little too clinical. the excitement of perhaps loosing it has gone. maybe i'm not driving it hard enough. i'm afraid that when it does let go, it won't be so easy to catch!

What's it like to park?

Not a problem, although you do sit low and rear vision is not that great.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I really enjoy driving it. i used it every day for the 1st 6 years and did 80 000kms. i have since retired it and use it now only on weekends. i had a problem when an oil valve stopped working at about 60 000 kms. dealer sent a service advisor on the day after christmas to asses the car and orgainised for it to be transported back to the service agent, all under warantee. the service was great.

What's most practical about your car?

Get in and drive supercar on a daily basis. is not tempramental. just goes.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Open roof in winter and aircon in summer!
