What does this car say about you?
Cheap with no sense of style.

You smart man. It does all you want for less than the price of a sofa.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes because it is simply perfect for my needs and such fun to drive.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Proton or maybe a SsangYong Rodius with the 2.7L Mercedes Diesel engine.

Buying experience

Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£295
When did you buy the car?
February 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a fabulous deal as it has a couple of dents - one on the nearside wing (not bad) and a huge dent in the rear offside door (bad).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My Skoda was terminally ill and I needed a replacement before it went to the great scrap yard in the sky.
What was the dealer like?
Superb. My son had bought a car from them a few weeks before and so I had already had a good experience.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Unbelievably good. Has the best handling of any car I have driven - it goes where you point it. You can drive it hard and it just performs. The engine growls but never misses - I have done 300 miles plus in 2 days and still been refreshed at the end of it. It is a drivers car - you feel at one with the car as it goes through the bends. It can rev hard but never feels strained. In short the cheapest yet best car I have owned.
What's it like to park?
With perfectly balanced power steering and nice big mirrors it is a joy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not so far but I have only had it a few days. From my checks it seems well made and reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
Its handling is better than any car I have had previously as it was developed with Lotus. Space in the car and boot is excellent.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Radio controls on the steering wheel.
