Pros & cons
PROS
Decent equipment for a car of its age, 1.8 GTi is fun to drive.
CONS
Brand lacks familiarity and credibility.
Proton Satria (00-03) rivals
Overview
The Satria is the name that replaced Compact on Proton’s three-door hatchback model. The car (both Compact and Satria) is based on the old Mitsubishi Colt that ran from 1992 to 1996. Its image is indifferent, but 1.8 GTi models shouldn’t be overlooked. They’re Lotus engineered, great to drive and very good value for money.
