What does this car say about you?
Very much depends on how you've modded it. They can look very chavvy if modified cheaply or with excessive bodykits. A clean standard one will always get admiring glances from those in the know.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
That I'm mental spending that much time/money/effort on an old French shopping trolley. They're probably right.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Too old to get away with owning one now. The wrong side of 30 is no time to have a car like this !

Paid £3600 for it in 96 - mint with 75k on the clock and about 170bhp

Looking for a fast hot hatch for a hobby/project car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very good fun if in good condition and standard. Absolutely terrifying if packing a lot of horsepower. Genuine supercar slayer if you throw enough cash at them.
What's it like to park?
Fine if standard. Lowered with big wheels will greatly reduce your turning circle though.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Fuel pump relay, door pins, rear window seals. Typical 80's French build quality. Engines/Gearboxes VERY tough if left standard and looked after properly. Start modding and be prepared to go through tyres/bearings/clutches/head gaskets, etc like there's no tomorrow. That being said, if you use quality parts they can be very reliable up to about 220bhp. BE PREPARED TO GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY IF CONSIDERING BUYING A GT TURBO. It will save you a fortune and it's half the fun of owning one.
What's most practical about your car?
It could out accelerate Ferraris and TVRs from a standing start. I have slaughtered many rich middle aged Sunday sports car drivers ! Don't know if that's practical exactly but there you go !
