What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 24 - 30 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Used prices are fairly stable, and in time it’s possible the Avantime will be viewed as a classic. Four cylinder 2.0-litre model has lower running costs than the V6, thanks to its lower fuel consumption.
Renault doesn’t have a great reputation for reliability, and although this is slowly improving, the Avantime was produced at a time when it was at its worst. Watch out for electrical glitches, and make sure the double hinges on the doors haven’t dropped. Those doors are very heavy.
