Economy
Value
Can be picked up cheap as chips, but parts can be expensive if brought from main dealer.
Costs
Parts can be expensive if it goes wrong, high miles per gallon and lower group tax make it cheap run-around though.

On the road
Driving
Good handling, could do with anti roll bar fitting as this was not fitted on the 1.2 - comfy even on a long run.
Performance
Nippy for size of engine, quicker than 1.4 corsa, good on a run at 80-90mph once its up there.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Nothing major so far! except alternator, but have been told this could have been down to a duff battery, car now on 72k no problems , starts everytime
Image
Looks quite modern (in ph3 form) for its age, wont be bothered with on carpark, less of a boyracer image than saxo
Comfort
French seats, always comfy! Can be a bit tight in the back if tall person in front has the seat back.
-
Security and Service
Security
RCL, has Renault immobiliser which can be annoying as you have to lock/unlock doors when engine is switched off.
Service
Only ever needed a few gaskets, never had them in stock but got them me for next day!
