Value
Good value. Lots of equipment for money, but prices came down just after I bought it. Got a years free insurance!
Costs
No costs so far, appart from servicing which was quite expensive. Good fuel economy.

On the road
Driving
Very good ride, but handling is poor. Too much body roll and the steering feels numb.
Performance
Not bad for a 1.2 8V. However every Clio with the same engine of the age/mileage seems to be different.

Living with it
Reliability
No major problems so far. Keeps getting trim rattles that come and go. Build quality needs improving, too many hard interior plastics. CD player plays up sometimes.
Image
Nice looking car. Very easy on the eye. Interior a little grey. Prefer the new models looks and interior.
Comfort
Seats very comfortable. Driving possition took a little getting used to, as the pedals seem to be offset. Not much room in the back.

Security and Service
Security
No trouble so far. Good standard fit Cat 2 immobiliser. I like the fact that you can set the doors to lock when you drive away, and the car relocks if you unlock it and don't open a door.
Service
The car had a loud rattle from the sunroof about a month after I bought it and the dealer couldn't fix it after several attempts. I then went to Renault who kept telling me to go back to the dealer.
