Renault Clio 1.6 16V RSi 3d (2000/X) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A lot of kit for the money.
Costs
18K miles service intervals and good fuel economy, even when pushed.
-
On the road
Driving
Great road holding, but choppy ride and poor driving position spoil what could be a near perfect 'back lane' car.
Performance
I found no other manufacturer offered this performance for this money. Enough power to have fun.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems at all. Starts first time every time.
Image
I thinks it's viewed as a bit of a 'girls car', or at the very least a poor man's Clio Sport 172. I bought it because I couldn't afford to insure a Sport 172!
Comfort
Seats are not as good as they look. They have ample lateral support, but poor lower back support. You can never seem to find the perfect position for the steering wheel. Pedals are offset to right.

Security and Service
Security
It is supposed to have a good security system, but I've never tried to break in!
Service
Camden seem to service it okay, but they leave it dirty inside. They have no interest in rectifying problems (even at my expense) and NEVER respond to my phonecalls and emails regarding problems.
