Cars from 2000 have a four-star Euro NCAP rating. Side impact bars and driver’s airbag were standard in 1998. A front passenger airbag was optional on 1998-00 models and standard from 2000, when side airbags became optional and ABS was added to all cars. Immobilisers and unique-fit stereos are standard fit across the range. RXE, Etoile, Initiale and sports models also have an alarm.
Decent boot will easily take a week’s shopping or a weekend’s luggage with spare hairdryer and room for the unnecessary antique bought on the spur of the moment.
