As a practical runaround it say you have your wits about you cos this bad boy will never fail, as a driving experience it says.. zzzzz
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think its a clio, doubt they have given it a second look
Would you buy this car again and why?
Maybe in a 1.6 as it has some spirit, whereas this feels hollow.
What are you likely to buy next?
I am in the process of buying a ford cougar, something to make me feel like i belong on the road

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£7,995
When did you buy the car?
October 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Deal was OK.. no freebies was under the impression i would get an electric sunroof. And didn't. Finance that renault offered was at a good rate though so cant comlain about that
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I was young and naive and thought buying a car brand new was a good idea!!! wrong..
What was the dealer like?
Your run of the mill dealer...not brilliant..but not bad. However the garage were not so friendly. I smelt burning so I took my car in and it was looked at for 5 seconds, the guy said you have a plastic bag on your exhaust and just drive and it will melt off..there pearls of wisdom cost 25 quid :o

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Slow, very slow! Not bad for 0-20, so you can pull out at roundabouts ok, but it doesnt like accelerating after about 40mph, allthough it says its a 1.2 its really a 1.1 Brakes are great, very responsive and you do feel safe. However its not remotely exiting to drive. Doesnt handle too bad, but thats comparing it to the old corsa i had before so make your own judgement there..
What's it like to park?
easy, really easy...unlike normal driving when u cannot see your blind spot (this is quite a big problem fro shorter people in a clio) parking is simple and you can see everything you need to.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, not a thing, well the automatic lights wont come on but i think thats because i pulled the wire out when installing a new cd player
What's most practical about your car?
It return an exellent mpg, even if i cant be bohered to drive as economically as we all know we should. around 38 if driven the lazy way but you can get ALOT more. Its also small ans easy to manouvre around town. Though the boot cant fit a set of golf clubs in without a struggle
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Faivorites have to be the useful trip computer that tells you how many miles before your next petrol stop and your mpg amonst other things. Also there is a good basic cd player in.. i only changed because i had a better one. Auto lights and rain sensitive windscreen wipers are also an amusing perk
