Renault Clio Hatchback (2001 - 2008) 1.4 16V Privilege 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The vehicle itself is amazing. Having 5 doors for a first car with a sun roof and the boot size that it has is incredible. So easy to park and drive around in villages and cities too, cheap to tax and cheap on fuel, however the insurance was sky high due to young drives treating the cars like a demolishon derby car! Having the 1.4 petrol engine is what i'd recommend as it allows the car to drive perfectly when needed whilst also having the extra kick on dual carriageways and motorways. However there are a few issues being that once the car gets to 40mph or above it starts to become very loud and you can hear the road beneath you. Another common issue is having the sun roof leak, luckily i haven't run into that problem yet but i know of friends that have had the issue. Overall i give it a 4/5 stars for it being a perfect first car whilst also feeling great driving it.
How reliable do you find the car?
No major issues, rear passenger door wouldn't unlock properly so had to change the lock which was simple and cheap. Had an engine warning light but my father ran a diagnostic check on it and cleared it straight away. Also had the temperature at 46 degrees Celsius which we quickly had to change for the A/C.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Bought the car as a first car with low expectations as the rumors of French cars started to put me off. The car to my surprise runs so smoothly and does everything i need to do and more.About their car
