Renault Clio Hatchback (2001 - 2008) 1.5 dCi Campus 2007 (65bhp) 3d Owner Review

In their own words
The car okay overall if you are looking for a cheap way to get around. As said earlier it is very economical and parts aren't crazy expensive. Have heard stories of the diesels having injector problems, but mines been fine so far (touch wood). Insurance is very cheap and only £30 a year tax. However I would go for a more powerful version, as the 65bhp engine in mine needs to be worked hard to keep up with fast moving traffic and runs out of puff at around 75mph. I would also go for the 'Campus Sport' model, as you get alloy wheels and Aircon, mine has neither. If you can get one for a good price then they are worth a look. I paid £2200 for mine with 76k miles and was in very good condition.
How reliable do you find the car?
Had to replace water pump and cambelt at 80k miles. Plus the CD player jammed and the drivers side electric window stopped working, turned out just to be the switch.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Its small and basic. Gets good mpg (55 plus on the motorway). No aircon which can be annoying but has everything else you need. Performance is mediocre at best, with only 65bhp. Its okay around town but you need to work the engine at higher speeds. You can fit 4 people comfortably enough however the boot is small.About their car
