Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm not sure to be honest, but when I got the car there was not many around whereas the older shape I feel now has a tarnised chavvy reputation.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like it and love the blue paintwork, people always say how quite it is, which is nice.
Would you buy this car again and why?
YES! I don't plan on getting rid of it for a while, does everything I possibly need.
What are you likely to buy next?
Maybe a newer one may exchange it in, for a diesel/TCE petrol as long as it has a glass sunroof, really wish I had one.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,700
When did you buy the car?
March 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
My clio was an ex-hire car with low miles and added A/C. I have heard before that you should avoid ex-hire cars and driving instuctor cars but the car look in good condition not mint but impressive, I feel it was reflected in the price paid about £800-£1000 less than a Renault forcourt price, I'm happy.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Great car, good reviews, very refined mature supermini.
What was the dealer like?
Great! Huge selection of cars, able to view loads, only gripe would be short, very short test drive.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Steering is light, around town its amazing can really move the car swiftly plus it grips very well! Lovely drive, on faster roads the steering does'nt give much feedback my partners 1998 fiesta has way more. Depends on yourself if your after a driver's car upgrade to the RenaultSport :).
What's it like to park?
Sooooo easy, good turning circle, mirrors on my version before the facelift are slightly small the only negative.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The car is coming up to 5 years old in September and I am glad to say NO! Again Renault have that name for reliability issues but so do Fiat, I owned one before the clio so I wasn't to worried. The car is robust and strong I am however starting to notice that it feels sluggish? /hesitant when cold, soon as it's warm and the chokes off it's fine, not sure what it is, will be the first bill im sure apart form genaral matainance i.e tyres, servicing ect!
What's most practical about your car?
Massive boot, huge fuel tank, really comfortable and even easy access on 3dr no pilates trying to get in and out and im 6foot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love the built in cornering headlights, Great! Beware though to change the bulbs have to gain access through the wheel arch, not happened to me but have heard/seen this problem, a member of staff at halfords trying to fit one - nightmare!
