Summary
What does this car say about you?
I try to get the best of all worlds. One year on - still holds true. Year two - not changed my view.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Nice looking car. Amazing road fund of £50 per year. One year on - now only £35!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Early days yet. If Renault really have improved their quality and I have no significant problems over the next five years then - Yes One year on - Yes, yes, yes, not put a foot wrong. Now getting 70+ mpg on mixed driving. After 18 months still great. 2011 - Best buy I ever made!
What are you likely to buy next?
A replacement for my 5 year old petrol Laguna - if reliability is OK on the Clio then would consider a diesel Laguna. One year on. Looking good for Renault. I'll have to test drive the new Laguna ST.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Easy drive on motorways with very little background noise from the engine or road. 86bhp engine has enough power to make the car responsive if not really fun to drive. Steering a little light at 10 - 20 mph
What's it like to park?
Although rear window is quite small visibility is OK. Heavy power assist makes manoeuvring a easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong yet but both rear light clusters were spilt and had to be replaced. The plastic over the instruments was very dirty when the car was collected. January 2009 - Car has 36K on the clock and still no issues. 2011 - now done 70K without problems
What's most practical about your car?
The engine. Very refined, good performance and excellent economy (I actually get the combined figure from the spec sheet of 66MPG). Low road fund rate. After 18 months and 24K miles the car now easily returns 75+mpg. January 2009 - still regularly getting 75+ mpg.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cornering headlamps are handy. Large sunroof (front and back) makes the car feel much more open.
