Renault Clio Hatchback (2012 - 2019) 1.5 dCi (90bhp) ECO Dynamique MediaNav 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
It's ok. The engine is great for its size but when cold and been left for a while it almost seems like it's choking to start with and the exhaust pops and spits what I assume is condensation.
No problems so far but all of its negatives are there by design. In some cases the technical decisions taken are borderline moronic.
The seats are a bit unsupportive.
There is a button on the key card that turns the interior light on for a few seconds but doesn't seem to do anything else (?)
The engine air filter seems very small.
The steering wheel is slightly too big.
There is no single wipe spring return type function on the wiper stalk. You have to actually choose a speed and switch it off again.
The front fog lights are less than useless.
The radio bass mid and treble settings default when starting up, but appear just as you left them on the screen until adjusted (?)
There was and AHA update that is also beyond useless and doesn't even do screen mirroring. The app is laughably stupid.
Despite the Eco2 stuff all over it, you have to start the engine to move the windows, but you can move the mirrors at any time even without the key...?
Despite encouraging you to drive it on torque and change up quickly, it cries out for an extra gear and revs way too high at 70mph.
The gearbox is from yesteryear.
The centre console vents can only be pointed up, and hardly move left and right.
There are a few other dumb points, but these are the ones that have no logical explanation.
One the rare occasion, it doesn't lock when you walk away.
I still sort of like it but there are better things out there.
