Economy
Value
Not bad value. Mine cost me £12,500 back in Dec last year, although car people are now retailing them at £11,495 (UK models) so depreciation will be poor.
Costs
Car is cheap enough to buy, but apart from that everything else will cost you.

On the road
Driving
Too much torque steer. Car is garbage travelling on bumpy uneven roads. Will pull you left or right, even worse on wet/slightly damp roads.
Performance
Performance is average. If you want a proper hot hatch, buy a Civic Type-R, if you want a proper car, buy an Evo 6.

Living with it
Reliability
Don't know. I traded mine in after a month and a half.
Image
Image, well every other car that you see seems to be a 172 sport... great!!
Comfort
Seats are uncomfortable, ride is bumpy, engine is noisy, road noise is loud, more like a go-kart.

Security and Service

UK model Thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser.
Service
On par with Alfa garages, say no more!
