Summary
What does this car say about you?
You want a quick car to race around in but have moved on from the C2/Saxo Vts type of level onto a car with more accesories such as leather/alcantera, all electrics, climate control/air con
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. This car is great if you do not do much mileage. I put 43000 miles on my car in 2 years and I do not think the engine was built for that. I have spent in excess of £3500 on repairs in two years, ranging from Driveshaft, TDC Sensor, new ECU (!) etc etc. Also be careful if you 'chip' the engine. The previous owner chipped my car and this could be why the ECU corrupted and had to be replaced which cost £1000.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi A3 1.8T

Got a good part ex deal on my Saxo Vts and so only paid about £5k for the car with 26k on the clock and 2 years old.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Very good, the car came in as a part ex and so picked up a bargain.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very quick, likes town driving and motorway driving, although revs are high on motorways due to highly tuned engine and I do not think the car is fan of long motorway drives....
What's it like to park?
fine

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes, plenty. New Driveshaft & cv boot, cv boot on driver's side, TDC Sensor, ECU (!), plus numerous other little things. Do not buy a Clio 172 if you do more than 12k miles a year, it doesnt like it.
What's most practical about your car?
Quick car for racing around town and motorway with. Great handling, performence, looks and fuel economy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bigger car toys on a small hot hatch, auto wipers/headlights, digital climate & air con, comfy sports seats.
