2.0 struggles under a full load; 2.2 dT and dCi models are favoured by buyers and offer good fuel consumption. 3.0 V6 gives good performance and is capable of 0-60 in little over ten seconds, but can feel slow-witted and quite thirsty.
The Grand Espace has an improved ride over the MKII standard model, it’s more controlled and confident at speed. However, passengers should notice no difference over the Espace. It’s a surprisingly agile performer and is more adept at tackling backroads than you’d expect. This is a massive people carrier and is difficult to park and drive in narrow roads, but a tight turning circle does help.
