Renault Kadjar (2015 - 2022) 1.6 dCi Dynamique Nav 4WD 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Generally a satisfactory experience in 2.5 years of ownership and 20k miles. Spoiled by two major issues including injection issues and turbo requiring long periods off road.Pranging the vehicle under the care of a local franchise by technicians resulted in a further unsatisfactory situation with 16days incarceration for bodywork repairs. Renault back up in two separate dealerships less than satisfactory. Poor communication being the main issue. I like the car a lot. It is spacious roomy and comfortable with plenty boot space. Interior storage is limited and the cup holders are badly designed and a complete pain. The car has a lot of safety features some of which can be turned off( I turned off the annoying lane departure warning) Wipers are not great and rear vision is problematical but overall this is really a nice competent family size vehicle. I have used the vehicle off road using the lock differential and it copes well with muddy roads and fields. The 4wd option provides great reassurance in very wet conditions as well as snow and ice. Continental tyre wear is not great but probably reasonable for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Overall satisfactory vehicle.
How reliable do you find the car?
Bought preregisteted with 10 miles on the clock. Initially a couple of minor issues of squeaks and rattles but in the last 12 months 14k-20k miles one recall and two major mechanical problems requiring warranty work. The latest a turbo replacement.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Having owned a few 4wd vehicles the Renault has been very good and most have had problems so Renault is no different. Good power acceleration and economy. Spacious and comfortable. Renault dealer backup questionable.About their car
