Economy
Value
Avoid initial depreciation & it's a bargain. Mine was £7.6k, one year old, 900miles on the clock, from an authorised dealer, which included a 3year parts & labour warranty. As cheap to run as a small car, but 5 doors & a comparatively huge load capacity.
Costs
Does what it says on the tin. Consistently over 50mpg for in-town driving. Cheap (small) tyres. Cheap insurance. First service was a bit pricey at £165 (standard Renault), but at 18k, not 10 or 12k.

On the road
Driving
Decent ride, marred only by noticeable body roll at speed, but mitigated by excellent grip. Good gearbox. Downside is high side winds!
Performance
Surprising & excellent for what it is. Decent poke available. Not particularly noticeable degredation of performance even when loaded. Overtaking no problem on motorway or country road.

Living with it
Reliability
Covered 18k in a year & nothing gone wrong & had no consumables to replace.
Image
It's a van, no getting away from it, but you don't buy them for aesthetics. Very Bauhaus. Look out for drunks stepping out in front of you after closing time, as they commonly assume it's a taxi.
Comfort
Reasonable. Basic, but decent driving position. Not as much rear legroom as a Berlingo. steering column mounted audio controls are excellent.

Security and Service
Security
Basic. Selling it without a load cover is a scandal. Unlikely to attract the attention of car thieves, unless they're moving house.
Service
Satisfactory.
