Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I like something overrated that turns heads and gets mixed opinions.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I'll be honest it does get mixed opinions. The people who like it say its different but people who hate it just dislike Renaults...
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, I got a fantastic deal with all the options and gadgets on the car and it's a fantastic piece of kit!!
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Renault. Hopefully won't be til I come to the time of children so maybe a GT line Laguna tourer or another family Renault?

Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,500

October 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, there aren't many Monaco GP coupes about and this was up for below market value.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a change as I had had several versions of the fiesta. Spotted this for sale after having various problems with my 13 plate ST and snapped it up.

Friendly, chatty and helful.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth and comfortable. Handles like a bit of a boat and the brakes could be sharper but it is a coupe so doesn't have massive brakes like cars im used to driving. The cruise is nice on the main road and the speed limiter stops you wandering overspeed in a 30. Xenon headlights make night driving easy, and the auto lights, wipers and auto dim mirror are perfect for my laziness. For a diesel it pulls very well and there is far more than enough torques to overtake Sunday drivers if needed. The seats are like armchairs and the ride is typically French and smooth.
What's it like to park?
The turning circle isn't great BUT that can be all forgiven with the large mirrors. The parking sensors make up for the lack of sight out of the rear. Then again who buys a coupe to see out the back?

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not a single thing. A relief when my 13 Plate ST was in the garage every week broken...
What's most practical about your car?
I didn't buy it to be practical but it's spacious, large boot and auto everything for the ultimate lazy person. Only thing I will say is with all 6ft 3in of me driving the drivers seat does touch the rear seats.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The auto everything and screen in the dash that doubles as a Sat nav. Also love the flat bottom wheel and cruise control...who am I kidding its a massive step in spec from a fiesta...
