Renault Laguna Coupe (2008 - 2012) 2.0 dCi (180bhp) GT 3d Owner Review

In their own words
After selling me Alfa 166 and having owned Alfa's since 2003 i decided to go completely different. This is the 1st French and diesel car i have ever owned (out of 72) and was a bit weary of it. Well it's been superb. Absolutely outstanding looks, Everyone says 'What's that, Never seen one' which gives it an exclusive appeal. But like every car it has it's faults. Build quality is not the best, Doesn't feel as well screwed together like my Alfa's (156,Mito,166) however feels better than the GT i had, There is some weird design features also, The light switch is on the indicator stalk and sometimes at night you can inadvertently switch the lights off, Traction control can be switched off but goes on automatically as soon as you go over 27mph which i think is pointless. I have the 180bhp TD which gives excellent performance ( just as good as my last V6 Busso in the 166) but with 35mpg more. Clutch is a bit sharp. Not into the electric handbrake. Overall though i couldn't be more happy with this car and the best compliment i could give it is i don't miss the big 166 in the slightest its that good. I look forward to finishing early everyday so i can go on mini road trips in. I would happily recommend one especially in GT mode with the 4 wheel steer. 8/10
How reliable do you find the car?
Replaced the brake calipers and disks, Only needed to replace 1 but did the 4, parts not expensive at allDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
Comfortable and quiet and a big boot. Opening space of the boot is perfect, Don't understand the criticism of itAbout their car
