Summary
What does this car say about you?
Family guy, mostly steady, like to get where I'm going without any hassle.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
The family like it because there's plenty of room for five. And it makes a great "Dad taxi".
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. I've had seven years virtually problem free motoring out of a car which starts first time every time. Not keen on the later models though.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure, not really looking yet. Maybe a Citroen C5.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,700
When did you buy the car?
April 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Eight years old with 76000 on the clock, the price dropped by £200 pounds the week I bought it and the maintainance costs have been minimal since.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I hired a 1.9 turbo diesel model for a week just after they were launched and was really impressed with it.
What was the dealer like?
Not a large company, two small sites in Cheshire but has been established quite a while and I haven't heard anything "off" about them.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fuel economy not that great, 31mpg in town and 43 on the motorway. Mind you I did get 50 once with no jams and a tail wind. Adjustable steering wheel position and height adjustable seat makes it easy to find a comfortable driving position and the seat fits like a glove and holds you steady. As to performance, 15 the car is fifteen years old now and can still hold it's own in motorway traffic.
What's it like to park?
Never had any problems.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Offside rear door lock won't work properly at low temperatures, broken front nearside spring found at MOT four years ago. since then nothing. MOT has only cost the price of the test the last three years.
What's most practical about your car?
The size of the boot. I can carry two large suitcases, three holdalls and other assorted baggage, enough for five people for a week without having to take the parcel shelf out.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The electric tilt and slide sunroof , remote radio controls and electric door mirrors. Nothing really exciting, it's not a petrol heads car.
