I'm skint! It's 12 years old.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Any comments I've had have only ever been positive.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, they're getting a bit old now and a bit behind the times. That said, if I was ever in the same position again of changing jobs and wanting a temp fix then I would probably consider one.
What are you likely to buy next?
I've gone back to BMW and doubt I'll ever change badge again.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I think £750 was about right at the time. It had 62,000 miles, 12 months MOT and 9 months Test.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Bought as a cheap temporary fix in between changing careers.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I've owned the 1.8 16v Sport and the 3.0 V6 RTi and out of the three, the 2.0 16v is definitely the best combination in terms of performance and economy. It's quick enough to put a smurk on your face but comfy on any surface. It's like a sofa on a long journey. All the while, it's still composed when you throw it around the back roads.
What's it like to park?
Put it in reverse, look where you're going and you can't go wrong in any car!!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I had the gearbox side engine mount replaced after a few months to rectify the rough idle and jerky throttle action. That and an Oil and filter change on top cost just £130 all in.
What's most practical about your car?
These cars have a cavernous boot area and a massive opening into it. As a family of 5 driving from the North East to all over the South on a regular basis, we found that the luggage area was more than capable of taking all our bags, cases, kids stuff etc.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Where do I start. Mine had the SR + AC, Elec Windows, Remote Stereo Controls, CD, ABS, Alloys, Rear Spoiler.
