Value
Not good value any Laguna above five years old will demand constant maintinance and parts, in particular the 2.2 DT version which needs servicing every 6000 miles.
Costs
Very expensive as mentioned above any Laguna diesel is in need of constant attention.

On the road
Driving
Car drives OK, but power steering is ropey it is in fact to light to feel any response from the road.
Performance
When working the fuel economy is excellent and power is good through all speed ranges.

Living with it
Reliability
Very, Very unreliable, I had a 2.2Dt RXE and the for the first 2 years I owned this it was fine, but after that it has been nothing but trouble. Has had problems with heater fan and matrix, radiator, main drive belt, 3 water pumps!, glow plugs, etc etc.
Image
Car look nice and drives OK, but mechanically a disaster, my advice stay away.
Comfort
Can't fault comfort lovely seats an excellent layout of drivers console but radio controls on steering wheel leave something to be desired.

Security and Service
Security
Security is excellent remote central locking on RXE model has worked without fault and immobiliser also good.
Service
Dealers are very lame, and tend to be very casual about servicing and never give good service.
