Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Factory alloy wheels seemed to be made of lead and needed constant fixing. Went trough tyres every 18 months (firestones) only doing 12k a year. From the start the engine seemed to run a bit rough and the motorway fuel consumption was around 40mpg. It was still under warranty so I took it back to dealers who said 'this is the way they run and 40mpg is good'.
What's it like to park?
Ok, but turning circle is poor

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The end of the story is that the car went on fire and suffered a catastrophic failure. How the car died. Turbo blew, throwing oil around engine, which went on fire. One cylinder head completly destroyed. I contacted Renault and they said there is no known fault with turbo's on my model even though VOSA said there was. Car was written off. If only I had heard of all the other Laguna Diesels with turbo issues!!
