Renault Laguna Hatchback (2001 - 2007) 2.0T 16V Initiale 5d (03) Owner Review
In their own words
Flawed car, but good looking, and good ones with big spec are available for peanuts.
It was super cheap, top spec and an absolute minter that had lived in the garage all its life. Everything works apart from the tyre pressure monitor system and there is a lot to go wrong. The previous owner just spent twice what I paid for it in servicing and parts in the 6 months before i bought it.
It is real world quick. The turbo kicks in at quite low revs and catapults you out of corners with ease. It grips and turns in well. The controls are light and responsive around town. The steering takes some getting used to at speed. The 17inch wheels look good but the ride is jiggly and it crashes around town when fully loaded, I reckon the smaller wheeled models must ride better. It is quite softly sprung so the handling is sloppy at speed. It's not nearly as refined or composed at speed as the 2001 Honda Accord I had before it which was a superb long distance cruiser.
