Renault Laguna Hatchback (2007 - 2012) 1.5 dCi eco2 Dynamique S TomTom 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
At my age, I've lost count of the number of models of cars I've owned, let alone driven as hired vehicles etc. However, I enjoy driving this Renault Laguna 3 hatchback (1.5dCi) more than any other I've owned. It's quiet, relaxing, performs well, is economic (around 41 mpg around the Pennines where I live, with plenty of steep hils, and 62 mpg on a long drive on a motorway. It's very practical, seats 5, holds plenty of luggage, and - unlike almost all other cars in this group/class - fits inside a standard 16-feet long British domestic garage. So you can thruthfully tell your insurer that it really is "garaged overnight". It came with Michelin summer eco-tyres - really excellent mileage but just hopeless on ice and snow. So it's had a set of Vredestein Quatrac 3's which were faultless in the winter (better than many 4-wheel drive 'tractors'), and now has Michelin Cross-Climates which work almost as well as the Vredesteins on snow.
I really look forward to driving this car. Get a low mileage second-hand one, relax, don't try and race (it's a cruiser, not a highperformance car), and look forward to some low stress driving, especially with the cruise control on at night.....
How reliable do you find the car?
Absolutely no prolems on the move. A door lock failed in my garage, and had to be replaced - which was an hour in the main dealer's.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
This car was 'on offer' as a package, so it had quite a few gizmos I wasn't aware of. I was still discovering a few extra features several months later ! It's brilliantly well equipped, and very well thought out.About their car
