Summary
What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family love it! Kids because of the gadgets, wife because I'm the one driving!
Would you buy this car again and why?
absolutely! - though would go for the larger diesel model next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably a Peugeot - but only because our local dealer is a Peugeot dealer.
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,350
When did you buy the car?
July 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - good p-ex price for my "shed", exisitng customer of the dealer - have bought quite a few from them over the years
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
previously owned "N" reg Laguna, which I had run into the ground. Wanted another Laguna!
What was the dealer like?
see above - have good relationship with dealer. they take care of all the family's cars, servicing etc, so am on good terms with them and always get good service

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
power good across the range. Motorways and town cycle. most of my driving is done with a boot full of tools, tunking in the car, and a 6m triple on the roof, so can be a little sluggish at times!
What's it like to park?
no problem at all. Sensor is excellent, visibility is fine. Can't hear the sensor with the radio on!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
within the first 2 months had a problem with one of the tyre sensors. Car was within warranty, and the dealer (a peugeot dealer!) took it in and sent it to local Renault dealer on my behalf (saved me the hassle!). That was 2 years and 35,000 miles ago. Have not had even the whiff of a problem since!
What's most practical about your car?
like the luggage space - takes a bundle (25) of self adhesive trunking (I'm a "sparky") within the car - 3m length without interfering with the drive. Boot space is also good.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
like the keyless ignition - no keys jangling about your knees as you're driving - still love pressing the button to start the car! Computer givng info - MPG, distance left in tank, distance since last service/to next tec, very useful
