Renault Laguna Sport Tourer (2001 - 2007) 1.9 dCi Dynamique (120bhp) 5d Owner Review

1.9Dci Dynamique Laguna Tourer. Bought new, dealer serviced first 60k miles, after local Garage guy serviced it every 12k miles until 100k then after by myself Oil (Fully Synthetic) & Filter every 6k miles, gbox oil every 12k. (Renault say 18k Oil changes - is BS To me, dont listen!). Turbo replaced at 140k, in/ex system cleaned out, (EGR VALVE RENAULT 1.9 DCI 7700107797 replaced with new part, drives like a new car again!). Crankshaft Pulley replaced (Big nocking Noise but easy job). All servicing done 100%, had new shockers springs all round at 150k, on its 3rd set Discs front and rear. Track rods replaced twice now. Had two new drivers door window winder mechanisms replaced (known for it but a £35 part). Now at 214,250 miles, running well cannot complain at all (fingers crossed will see 250k :-) ). Look after em and they serve you well! (I am ex aircraft engineer and was a qualified car mechanic). With these cars as with all cars, it is all down to how they are looked after - Servicing is KEY to reliability and longevity. Buy used then a FSH is Essential. Only thing I dont like about the car, rear seat backs dont fold down flat and headlight auto adjusters break as son as fixed (so now in set position!! Big List - haha..
