Renault Laguna Sport Tourer 1.9 dCi Dynamique 5d (2003/53) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A cheap car for the spec, but then not good value for money when you see what the build quality is like.
Costs
Renault servicing costs as much as a Porche/Lexus, but then with Porche/Lexus, you get a first class service.

On the road
Driving
Follows the contour of the road... not where you point it!
Performance
Oh dear! This is not how a 120bhp diesel should be. Diesels pull from low revs (even old <90bhp ones). This car doesn't start pulling till over 2000rpm and doesn't go quick till you thrash it. Peugeot HDis are much quicker with less effort.

Living with it
Reliability
Now this is where the car really stands out! This is the worst built, shoddy, rattly, niggly, gremlin infested pile of junk I have ever seen called a car!
Image
Looks good for estate, but people are probably pointing and laughing "hahaha look that idiot bought one of those silly French cut 'n' shut cars".
Comfort
The seats are quite comfy but I just don't feel like I am in the right position no matter how much I adjust.

Security and Service
Security
No idea yet (I guess theives are put off by the fact that it doesn't start half the time when you have a keycard, let alone when trying to steal it). The locks are dumb, you can keep pressing the lock button over and over again to keep locking the car.
Service
Oh my god! What are they doing? No matter what you tell them, they deny it straight away! They don't even look! "My car is broken", "no it's not", "YES IT f****ng well is!!"
