Renault Laguna Sport Tourer (2001 - 2007) 3.0 V6 24V Privilege 5d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The main reason I wouldn't recommend it to just everybody as here in New Zealand they are rare cars. Not many at the local breakers and most people don't know how to fix their toilet cistern let alone a car...Parts if you don't know what you are doing are hideously expensive and if you know what you are doing are crazy cheap...So yes I would recommend it to the right person but thats a rare person these days. I obviously love the car. Its great economy on trips and very comfortable. Great seats and a nice interior. Keep the car serviced and it will reward you with a sublime luxury experience. Mistreat it and it will just disintegrate in front of you. Even my brother who is not a fan of Renault recently said to me "you should keep it..what would you replace it with"
How reliable do you find the car?
ABS unit x 2 in 2015 and 2017. Last unit (2017) from a dry country as corrosion in ABS computer due to mounting position an issue. Otherwise normal wear and tear. Had stupid tyre pressure sensors disabled as a waste of time and always triggering a service light. Much better now- best disabled.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Have always mostly had Renaults and this car has been great. Have also had Japanese cars and honestly they might be a bit easier to repair but Japanese quality is not really any better...sometimes Japanese design is not that great...I mostly do my own repairs so I see for myself whats good and whats not. In reality these are fairly easy cars to fix...I have had worse. EG... BL rubbishAbout their car
