Summary
What does this car say about you?
Either a hairdresser or a very smart car i have.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My mum even thinks its a nice car and she doesn't know anything about them! Friends do like it aswell, especially with the roof down.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yeah i'd buy the 1.5/1.9/2.0 Dci facelifted model. I do not like the new model as much.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hoping to own this for 5 years then maybe get an Insignia.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£5,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I bought this from AB Motors in Fife. I dealt with the Sales Manager during the whole process. The deal was £3500 for my Focus which was due a fresh MOT and 6 months TAX within the next month with £1500 towards the Megane CC. I did lose out of a fair bit of money in pursueing the Megane CC but it did not sway me as i aim to keep this car for many years.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I have always wanted a Megane CC, ever since i witnessed it being photographed at a Renault photo shoot in early 2003, prior to the car being released in the UK.
What was the dealer like?
I found the Sales Manager to be very professional, friendly and accomodating, having spent 3 hours on a monday night (7pm-10pm, after having working 9am-6pm) to show me the car. He initially offered me a low trade in value but he increased this with ease to the value i was looking at.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This car drives really well. It really is more of a cruiser than a sports car which is a good thing. I just wish i could drive it at 70mph without any vibration! The car is super quiet, especially with the roof down. I don't think its an overally quick car but its frugal enough.
What's it like to park?
Quite easy once you have parked it several times. It is a big boot but it becomes easy to judge with time.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I test drove this on the day i viewed this and only noticed an issue with a pull to the left which i thought would be tyre pressures. I only drove this at 50mph max. I then noticed a vibration through the steering wheel immediately at 55mph within half an hour of purchase. I found that the left front wheel was buckled and this may be the cause. The owner at the dealership decided that he would not be getting involved and he didn't have the time to offer assistance on obtaining another wheel (even though it is stated on the website that they do offer assistance through the lifetime of ownership) I had to spend £120 rebalancing/tracking the wheels for the problem not to be resolved. I then sent a letter to no reply so it looks like i'll have to fix this off my own back.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot, which is still a decent size with the roof down and the comfortable seats. Not much legroom though in the back.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The electrical roof.
