Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£17,000
When did you buy the car?
August 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - good trade in price on my ropey old Prelude, friendly and non-pressuring salesman.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a cabriolet, and the Megane was ultra-modern, with loads of gadgets and the advantage of a folding glass roof rather than the traditional (and often vandalised!) canvas tops.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pretty good. I've heard moans about the 2.0 being underpowered, but it still has the guts to bring a smile to my face. It's also very smooth and there's very little buffeting and scuttle shake.
What's it like to park?
Very easy, especially with the roof down.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Has been extremely well behaved.
What's most practical about your car?
Four seats and a HUGE boot - very practical for a cabriolet.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The Privilege model fully loaded as standard - I love all the gadgets!
