Summary
What does this car say about you?
Im stupid enough to buy another Renault (but not again!!!) It should say, Im stylish without being flash, and want to turn a few heads and travel in comfort affordably.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all liked it, even the guys. It looks great in black. However, many people warned me about Renault dealers!!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not if Renault paid 95% of the car's cost/ I've lost £££s on it, and every month is like waiting for the next thing to go wrong. Renault dealers are horrendous!
What are you likely to buy next?
Something Japanese and reliable!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£14,500
When did you buy the car?
August 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
I had damaged my 04 plate Megane CC and it was coming out of warranty, in spite of the damage they gave me a good trade in value.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Replacement for the 04 Megane CC that was driving me insane with repeated faults!
What was the dealer like?
They had to be nice, I'd have a ridiculous amount of trouble with my previous car, also bought from them. As an independent used Renault dealer, my problems were more aimed at the main Renault Dealership when things went wrong under warranty.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It handles smoothly and the 106bhp from the 1.5 Dci goes a long way (I had a 2.0 136bhp petrol before)If you driv it gently, its a good cruiser. Don't race anyone at roundabouts or traffic lights though!!
What's it like to park?
Fine, once you get used to the boot, there's a foot or so beyond where you can see.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Roof leaked, modified calipers (as on my 04 Megane CC), aircon failure, airbag warning, trip computer failure and repeated malfunction, key card failure, 2hrs labour to replace a head lamp (???)
What's most practical about your car?
It is comfortable, refined, good luggage space and room for 4 on short trips (when its feeling like working)
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Roof mechanism, keyless entry
