Renault Megane Cabriolet (2006 - 2009) 1.6 VVT Privilege 2d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This car has a lot of comfort based gadgets such as an intuitive speed restrictor and cruise control, an easy to navigate trip computer as well!
Driving with the roof down is amazing and this car is built for it. The windshield is so well positioned you can even have the top down on a slightly milder day, which is good because of the next point:
This car isn't very good with the roof up. There is a lot of vibration and squeeking, especially under braking, from the roof when its up, it also leaks. I'll admit the glass sunroof is amazing but it doesn't compensate for the discomfort by all the noise.
How reliable do you find the car?
Cambelt change when I bought the car (£200 through the dealer I bought the car with), Driver side front window broke (New switch, self fix, £30), Rear window stuck down (£240 fix, Renault quoted £500 and told me its a common fault that I was 20 days outside of warranty for!) Ignition coils and spark plugs (self fix, £120). To be expected from a 10 year old car since the previous owner did little maintanance at all, just the regular services.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I absolutely love the car, drives comfortably and looks amazing! Me and my girlfriend love it! (Even if my colleagues don't!)About their car
