Did you get a good deal and why?
I'd say so. £995 for a 99V with a good amount of extras, including CD player, electic windows, ABS, air conditiong.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a reasonably safe hatcback. My budget was £1000, so i had to get the most for my money, i think i did ok.
What was the dealer like?
A complete utter joke. Johnstone Car Sales in Scotland. Sells cars with no valet despite saying on the web site that they do. The Megane needed solenoids, but dealer didn't bother doing this, leaving me with the job. The attitude was also ridiculous. He ignored most of my phone calls. In my opinion very poor dealer service - avoid this trader like the plague!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Responsive willing 1.6 engine. Puts to shame most others in the same class, namely the ford focus. Engine pulls well even in 4th gear. Handling is also good with little roll, and nicely weighted steering. Gearbox is my biggest complaint. While it is smooth enough, the long throw takes away the sporty nature, but it does the job. On the motorway the cars is ticking over at 3,200RPM. 73mph, ok since it's like most small cars, but if you want refinement, then buy a old merc :)

It could be better. Hard to see out of from the rear..

What's most practical about your car?
Boot is a good size. Decent legroom in car, although seats aren't very comfy on 30 min drives.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Probably the sunroof.
