Got a good part ex. on the Freelander

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Changing from a TD4 Freelander which had been faultless but was expensive to service by main dealer. Had bought Renaults before, so no reason not to consider buying another.

What was the dealer like?

All over you like a cheap suit whilst trying to clinch the deal. Salesman very talkative and distracting during test drive

What's it like to drive?

Very light steering gives a "detached" feeling when driving. Very impressive brakes, perhaps a bit too much assistance.

What's it like to park?

Steering lock only reasonable. Reversing not helped by large rear pillars.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The car failed to start without warning. Inserted key card, pressed ignition button but and nothing happened. It required being towed to dealership for repair. An ignition/ steering lock module was replaced. On another occasion, keycard removed and engine continued to run. It was left idling for over an hour until returning back to it. Drivers door window sensor/contact failed during one night when left on driveway. This results in the window dropping down to the fully open position. It rained, car got very wet inside.Main dealer replaced part

What's most practical about your car?

Ease of use generally. Good sorage space and equipment levels
