Summary
What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
That it was a "boy racers" car. I beg to differ. It's a true drivers car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I have owned three Renaults and each one of them had build problems. I vowed after the R26 I would never buy a Renault again. Ok, so you might be lucky and get a decent one, but if you dont, prepare yourself for a lot of frustration and costly repair. For me, the constant stream of issues and amazingly poor build quality negated all enjoyment that I derived from driving the car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Already bought a BMW Z4. Worlds apart from the R26 in every sense.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
When things weren't dropping off or generally breaking apart, the car was a lot of fun to drive and clung to the road like sun baked road kill.
What's it like to park?
If you are unable to park a car with ease (the simplest of driving activities) you shouldn't be buying a 150mph+ car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
In eight months of ownership, I had multiple problems. The worst of which were - The spark plugs needed changing twice. The injectors also needed changing twice. The suspension arms failed and had to be replaced. A retaining arm inside the engine bay dropped off and almost wrote the car off. Both window regulators failed.
What's most practical about your car?
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The Recaro seats were very comfortable and superb for long journeys. Renaults steering wheel radio control stem still remains the best system I have used in any car.
