Renault Megane Saloon (1996-2003) interior, tech and comfort

Driving position is good, despite only having a height-adjustable steering wheel. However, the driver’s seat is too squishy and lacks the support needed for longer journeys. Gimmick-free cabin, with well-placed switches and buttons that are care-free to operate. Switchgear is robust, but some interior fittings look a bit rough on older cars.
Classic saloon is spacious and suitable for four adults; coupe and cabriolet are fine up front but rather tight for adults or larger kids in the back. Some noise from the road and engines, but tolerable.
