Overview
Megane saloon models were launched a year after the hatchback range. Unlike many saloon variants, this one is available with a wide range of engines, including some excellent diesels. Buyers have warmed to the hatch’s controversial looks, but it doesn’t really work with a boot. Prices are keen, equipment levels are good and the diesel engine is good enough to satisfy company car drivers.
Plus, a five star Euro NCAP rating makes it one of the safest cars in its class.
