Renault Megane Sport Tourer (03-06) rivals
Overview
The estate version of the big-bottomed Megane shows that cars can be controversial and still look good. It offers bold styling in a sector where conservatism rules, but Renault seems to have pulled it off. Load space is enormous for a mid-sized car, prices are keen, equipment levels are good and the diesel engine is strong enough to satisfy company car drivers.
Plus, a five-star Euro NCAP rating makes it one of the safest cars in its class.
