Renault Modus (2004 - 2012) 1.6 Dynamique 5d Auto (AC) Owner Review

I was looking for a replacement for my Ford Focus, which was rather high mileage and beginning to let me down. I had nothing in mind as a replacement, other than I needed wide opening doors, easy to get in and out of and room in the boot for my mobility scooter. Whilst looking at the other cars the Modus come in as a part exchange and the salesman suggested it as a good match for my needs. A look round and test drive and a deal was made. So a week into my ownership I have no hard facts re fuel consumption etc but I'm loving everything about it. My only niggle is that I occasionally knock the gearbox in to semi auto mode with the side of my thigh. The best point is the higher than normal driving position. The ride is comfortable and I have no problems with wind or road noise. I love the visibility through the huge windshield although the wiper sweep is taking some getting used to. I will add more later once I have put a few miles on it and established a known MPG.
