Summary
What does this car say about you?
Who cares?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone who rides in it is impressed by the front seats comfort and the very smart leather seats and interior on this top of the range model.
Would you buy this car again and why?
My wife loves the front seats. Her previous car, an automatic Honda Jazz was more practical in terms of luggage space and ease of folding the seats and more economical, but she found the front seats too low and poorly shaped. She will take a lot of persuading to get her out of this Modus as it has vastly improved the state of her back!
What are you likely to buy next?
Guess we will stick with this for years as the Initiale option with its leather interior is no longer available. If it were we would consider the slightly bigger Grand Modus

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Comfortable seats and ride. Handling and steering is fine. Great all round visibility. The 4 speed auto could really do with another gear.
What's it like to park?
A doddle - very upright rear so you know exactly where it is.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes - in past year we have had a broken electric window motor, broken light stalk and problem with the auto box. All fixed under the extended warranty we got with the car. However I wrote to Renault to complain that these faults were unacceptable in a car that was only just over 3 years old and which hadd only done 6K miles. After a little haggling they agreed to provide up to £500 of repairs for free in the event that it suffered any further problems in the next year./ So far , touch wood , no further problems in last 6 months and 5000 miles
What's most practical about your car?
ease of entrance - seats at a great height for older people like my 88 year old father to get in and out. Sensible rear hatch and rear seats can slide back if more legroom required.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Use the manual override on the auto a lot especially to get it to change up a little earlier than it seems to want to do. Climate control is useful. Haven't really used the cruise control much.
