Renault Safrane Hatchback 2.0 16V Executive 5d (1998/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
A SERIOUS amount of car for the money, either nobody wants them, or nobody knows about them.
Costs
Not too bad considering it's an executive, tyres from £35.
-
On the road
Driving
Sharp, light and precise steering, a large barge but handles well.
Performance
Pretty awful to 60, but it does weigh 1.4 ton! maybe get the 2.5 if you can.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Only ever let me down once, when it suffered a flooded engine for no apparent reason.
Image
Nobody knows about them so no prestige, but it does look nice in black when all cleaned up, feel like a Mafioso!
Comfort
Like sitting in your favourite leather recliner in your living room, best bit about the car is the comfort factor, excellent 6 speaker stereo.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser, AND a panic button inside to instantly lock the car, I use this a lot in traffic.
