Renault Safrane Hatchback 2.0 RN 5d (1993/L) Owner Review

Economy
Value
I paid £420 at auction for this car. I've since done nearly 50,000 trouble free miles. Bargain!
Costs
It came with FSH, only oil & filters to be changed. Very low costs

On the road
Driving
Very smooth & comfy. Adjustable seats, steering wheel.
Performance
A bit sluggish off the mark, but it wasn't meant to be a sports car. Once up to 75mph, it cruises very comfortably up to 100mph.

Living with it
Reliability
Only problem was with the speedo. The paint flaked off at 74k and I replaced it with a 2nd hand one for £50. Speedo cable would have been £110!
Image
Average looks for a family car.
Comfort
Loads of leg room front & back. Absolutely huge boot! Spacious executive feel for bargain basement price.

Security and Service
Security
Average security. Who'd want to steal it anyway?
Service
So easy, I did it myself.
