Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handles well, and supremely comfortable long distance cruiser. Seats great. Not the quickest for overtaking - q a heavy car, but reasonable power from very smooth 5 cylinder engine. Same engine as in Audis and Volvos.
What's it like to park?
No problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Rusted through one of front spring retaining cups. Key blipper wore out and ignition lock failed - £100 each. Otherwise very reliable. Done 30k on this one and 80k on previous 2.0l Safrane. The autobox on the 2.5l (Asean Warner) is totally reliable unlike the pre 1996 Mark 1 cars.
What's most practical about your car?
Almost estate car carrying capacity, yet it is a pretty stylish (the Mark 2 much better then the Mark 1) and very comfortable executive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Like the steering column mounted radio controls. Sunroof.
