What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

We dont talk about it except to say it does what we want it to.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would like to replace it with a younger version of itself. Maybe newer spec scenics are even better I do not know.

What are you likely to buy next?

Whatever is available that will tow a caravan when this car dies.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think so. They wanted to shift this car and we had been offered £2000 trade in on a 51 clio that needed a new engine. they were aware of this but I argued they owed me because I'd bought the clio off them originally.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Easy for elderly to get in and out.

What was the dealer like?

In retrospect I would never use them again, not over this issue but subsequent servicing issues.

What's it like to drive?

I think it handles very well. I feel very confident manoeuvring at speed. Towing is a dream. Very stable.

What's it like to park?

I find it easy.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing major, just wear and tear.

What's most practical about your car?

Very versatile. Back seats can be easily removed to create a van like space. All seats are comfortable. Engine is very willing. I tow a 1000kg caravan with it with no problems on everything but the very steepest hills when forced to stop and try to restart. Even now at steady 60mph I return 47mph. At 50 this goes up to 55+mph. Mixed driving I return 40mpg.
